Mr. Kim studied industrial design and furniture design at one of the country's pre-eminent design schools, the Rhode Island School of Design.
After graduating from RISD (riz - dee), Ki Charm designed two award-winning contract office furniture systems for Kimball Office and Jofco, respectively. Later, he gained experience with lighting design working for mass market, mid-level and high-end markets.
Ki Charm most recently worked as the in-house designer and product development manager for Therien Studio Workshops. Ki Charm developed and collaborated on furniture pieces with Bob Garcia, the creative force behind Studio Workshops. He developed a series of oversized decorative ADA wall sconces for Gary Hutton Design. Ki Charm has design custom furniture pieces for Thomas Buckley of Brown-Buckley Design, as well as worked on projects for Mark Weaver Design, The Wiseman Group and Joan Behnke among others.
